Malvern, PA. – July 29, 2015 – Senator Daylin Leach today announced his endorsement of businessman and military veteran Mike Parrish in the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania’s Sixth Congressional District.

“Mike Parrish is a common sense problem-solver, and we need him fighting for us in Congress.  Not only does he understand the importance of education as a key to greater opportunities for our youth, but he also believes that every man, woman and child in Pennsylvania deserves equal opportunities,” said Leach.  “We need his leadership, extensive business experience and fresh perspective to advocate for our veterans and senior citizens, as well as for access to the right health care when it’s needed most.  I’m confident Mike will work tirelessly to ensure that Pennsylvania families have the chance to get ahead and stay ahead.”

Parrish says, “Senator Leach is the leading progressive voice in the Pennsylvania legislature, and it’s an honor to have his support.  This endorsement is about shared Pennsylvania values and our belief that we need to do more to improve our schools, create jobs, and support Pennsylvania’s hard-working, middle-class families.”

A graduate of West Point, Mike Parrish spent 14 years on active duty as an Army Aviator in leadership assignments around the globe and is a Desert Storm veteran. Thirty years later, he continues to serve as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.  Parrish also has extensive senior leadership experience acquiring and growing technology-related businesses globally. He founded and ran an environmental services business, which was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine in its “HOT 100” list as one of the top 100 start-ups in America in 2004. It was also recognized by INC magazine as the 7th fastest-growing private environmental company in 2006 and 2007. Parrish lives in Malvern, PA and has three children ages 13, 9, and 6.
